The NHL said the event marks the first virtual coming together of a professional sports team since games were put on hold by Covid-19.
It will also air on NBCSN Monday, April 13 at 6 p.m. ET.
The first episode was hosted by NBC Sports’ Kathryn Tappen and Sportsnet’s David Amber, and it featured three sets of brothers who are currently playing in the NHL: Jack Hughes (New Jersey Devils) and Quinn Hughes (Vancouver Canucks); Marc Staal (New York Rangers), Jordan Staal (Carolina Hurricanes) and Eric Staal (Minnesota Wild); and Matthew Tkachuk (Calgary Flames) and Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa Senators).
NHL chief content officer Steve Mayer said, “We are really excited about this week at the NHL. Our players have been so interested in connecting with our fans and the lineup that we’ve put together is quite extraordinary. From our virtual press conferences to our Classic Games programming to the incredible reunion of the St. Louis Blues, this week will be remarkable as we keep adding new content every week.”
